Designed for easier installation and to eliminate the need for data centers.
Usually, modern video surveillance installations are done like this.
At the same time, the number of cables that need to be installed becomes overwhelming.
Or it can be done like this.
VideoBlazer is a climate-resistant device, which means it can become part of the installation cable infrastructure itself. This approach makes the system less vulnerable than concentrating everything in one location.
The cameras are distributed in different directions toward VideoBlazers, and then within a 100-meter radius to up to 8 IP cameras — this is the most optimal configuration.
Of course, in the first approach it is possible to use separate hubs outside the data center, but they require outdoor-rated enclosures — typically climate-controlled cabinets with heating and cooling systems, which makes installation more complicated and expensive.
Beyond 100 meters, fiber optics are already required.
And don’t forget proper grounding!
In the end, the system becomes neither cheap to build nor inexpensive to maintain.
If cable runs exceed 200 meters, additional hubs in outdoor cabinets can be used, but their number will be significantly lower.
