Three-Level Protection Against High Voltage Surges Such as Static Electricity, Lightning, or Stun Guns:

• Level 1 — Gas Discharge Tube
  (suppresses surges above 100V)

• Level 2 — Varistor
  (clamps any voltage above 18V)

• Level 3 — Zener Diode
  (clamps any voltage above 14V)

The electricity detector is plugged in before the UPS into any power outlet in the building.
