With such a disk array configuration, Videoblazer gains all the capabilities of a powerful video server with a continuous recording archive — including an intelligent searchable archive.
One drive can be used for long-term event storage, while the remaining drives can be dedicated to continuous recording or smart recording (triggered only when useful targets are present in the frame).
Naturally, the enclosure had to be slightly enlarged, but we fully preserved both the sealed construction and climate protection characteristics.
Since each additional drive increases heat generation, the heatsink has been slightly enlarged in order to maintain operation within the same temperature range.
The current product lineup includes:
Flash storage (basic version)
1 HDD
2 HDD
3 HDD
The system supports up to 6 disk connectors in total, but accommodating six drives requires a significantly larger enclosure. Such a configuration is available on request.
Alternatively, recording can be performed directly to a PC using the GOALcity software, which is now included free of charge with the device.
Videoblazer configurations with hard drives are more expensive than the standard version, not only because of the drives themselves, but also due to the use of additional low-heat-generation components. The main advantage of the entire design is its ability to operate in virtually any conditions: without dedicated server rooms, cooling systems, ventilation, or maintenance.
It can function inside a vehicle, on a pole, on the ground, or even underground. Nothing makes noise, and nothing flashes.
